What Does VETSPAC Do for Veterans?

VETSPAC provides a means for veterans and supportive Americans to make every dollar of their political contributions count only for veterans. VETSPAC uses your donations to move realistic veterans’ legislation through Congress as well as contributing to the election of Senators and Representatives who support our cause. As one member of Congress put it bluntly, “My door is always open, but is open wider to those of you who support my election campaign.” VETSPAC makes full use of that access on your behalf to support federal legislation. We are beginning to focus on the 109th Congress and our immediate priorities will be:

  • Gaining legislation for mid-grade NCOs and Officers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with severe combat wounds to ensure they will be eligible for Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC).
  • Working with the House and Senate oversight committees to make sure the transition from active duty to veteran’s status is as seamless as possible.
  • Improving veterans’ survivors’ benefits by eliminating the SBP/DIC offset.
